The LAÇO rug is a tapestry composed of earthy tones layered in an organic geometry. This piece features alternating textures of braids and bundles. The taboa fiber runs through the design, outlining, crossing, and forming delicate loops along the edges — which inspired its name ("Laço" means "bow" or "loop" in Portuguese).

Dimensions: 3.5 x 2.5 m (composed of two pieces)
Technique: Handloom + diagonal weaving
Materials: Taboa, buriti fiber, and cotton

Fringe: Buriti and beige cotton
Entirely handmade on a manual loom

Tapestry composed of two pieces with a base of irregular striped taboa and buriti fiber, embroidered throughout the overlapping weave with our “Floresta em Festa” (Forest in Celebration) reference, and interconnected by a satin stitch embroidery joining the two parts.

Cleaning and Care:

Basic maintenance for fiber and cotton rugs consists of regular vacuuming or brushing to remove dust;
Do not wash the rug together with other fabrics;
For the first wash, we recommend adding a handful of salt and vinegar to the water;
Always use cold water;
Do not use a washing machine;
Use ONLY neutral soap — do not use bleach or whitening agents;
Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap;
Let it dry in the shade;
As it is made from organic fibers, the rug should not be kept in humid areas;
Due to the cotton content, the rug may shrink up to 10% after washing.
